Joy

In present day Redmond, WA, Jim Rhodes is working his tail off to survive, despite the curves of life. He's just made it through Christmas, the first one as a single dad, and now he's looking forward to a mini-vacation. Yet, as he finally gets the vacation he's been really needing, he can't escape the feeling that something is clearly off. His arrival at his mountain cabin is just the start to learning what Joy truly means.

TJ has written here his second short-story, The Jacket. This short story hits much closer to home for TJ. Although based on his recollections of a time lost, a time when his grandfather was alive, The Jacket touches on what makes a man, his clothes and the precious memories that live long after his passing.
