On board the Ship, life rolls on for Pilot. His ship, The Lunnack, is his home, his refuge, his only chance to get back to his source-world. But the last few weeks have been full of alarming discoveries and the possibility for terrible things to come. He sits ready to act, waiting for the command to do so. His faith in his fellow pilots and his trust in his training, his skills and those that have come before are what he will have to cling to. Ultimately, Pilot understands that he’s a child of the lesser gods and his life is in their hands.
